US & Global Report is committed to accuracy. When we make an error, we correct it promptly, clearly and transparently.

How we handle errors

Factual corrections. If we find a significant error in a name, date, number, quote or other fact, we correct it in the article and add a visible correction note at the top or bottom stating what was changed and when.

Clarifications. If an article is accurate but could be misunderstood, we add a clarification note with the missing context.

Updates. Developing stories change quickly. When we add significant new information, we mark the article “Updated” with the date.

Minor edits. Spelling, grammar or formatting fixes that do not change the meaning of a story are made without a formal notice.

Sources. If a source we relied on later corrects or retracts its reporting, we review our article and update it as needed.
