Reuters reported that Russian drones struck two petrol stations and other locations in the Ukrainian capital. One person was killed, according to Ukrainian officials cited by Reuters.

The attacks came as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy prepared for meetings with President Donald Trump during the UN General Assembly in New York.

Ukraine has also carried out strikes against Russian energy infrastructure.

Zelenskyy has said Ukraine could stop attacks against Russian energy targets if Russia stops attacks against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The United States and European governments continue to discuss military and diplomatic support for Ukraine, while the war remains a major issue at the UN.
